Video

My friend has got me hooked on Google video. Which is good, because I think by this time each winter I get critically bored:

I love this old lady

An example of the late Mitch Hedberg's Comedy. If you had not seen him perform before, he was not always this jumpy in his acts.

Cheap annoying post!

I promised myself I would post today but I have a raging headache. So instead, I am gonna let y'all play with this silly site a friend emailed me today. Check it out if you are bored for three minutes or so... And don't worry, it DOES have an end, I promise. And yes, I really was that bored!

Happy 60th Dad!

Happy birthday to this man! Yes, the main influence of weirdness in my life, as well as the Appalachian Monkey's! Above you can see him with me in front of the Wal-Mart in Puerto Vallarta last summer... yes, Wal-Mart has invaded Mexico... beware!

And the second picture is to remind him that he is always cool, shorts and socks and all... gotta love the socks! ;-)

Love ya dad!

Long strange day

Posted a pic of where I wanted to be all day, outside. Instead I was at work, and a weird day at that. There has been a lot of change lately and I just don't know how things will affect me yet. It might be a weird ride, then again things might not change much at all.

The January blues has set in for sure. I knew this was gonna happen, just check back a few posts. I am all-knowing like that :) Why is it a new year makes you realize what a rut you are in?

Enjoy the picture above. I went for a long walk this weekend on the levee behind my apt. The shot you see was taken with the end of Hammer Lane (west end) at my back. If you hopped the fence, climbed up the bank and managed to jump the slough, this is what you would see. It always amazes me that I can look one way and see gas stations and fast food places, and then turn around and see all the way to the horizon, with the only evidence of the city behind me in the sound of traffic. All separated by a mere six-foot wide slough. Just like two very different worlds colliding.

New Year's Resolutions

Yeah yeah I make them every year, but this time they are public so maybe I will have a chance at sticking to them.

1. Lose weight (duh) But more importantly, actually learn how to control eating habits and get into a regular exercise routine.

2. Learn what should upset me and not be so passive; AND learn what shouldn't anger me and just let things go. Oddly, I have troubles with both.

3. Do something to expand my horizons... and no I don't mean "Best of Both Worlds" ;) I mean going back to school, etc.

4. Be less judgmental.

5. Work harder.

6. Clean up my finances.

7. Do something completely out of the ordinary, even something that may scare me a little. For example, not chickening out when I have opportunities like going on a rainforest canopy tour on a zip line. Yeah. Stuff like that :)

8. Be more patient.

I will probably think of more later, but this seems to be a good start :-)

Happy New Year!!!!

What a weekend! In four days ( thankfully four days without work :) ), I turned a year older, welcomed a new year, and became an aunt!!! Yes, this morning around 11:30 my sister-in-law gave birth to a baby boy, mom and baby are doing fine. Hopefully Mike and I can rustle up the month to go visit them next month and meet our nephew. I am hoping these are all good signs for 2006, because 2005 was a tough one.

Well, I hope you are all having a good new year so far, check back later for more posts, as I am sure there will be more now that holidays have slowed down.
